The Words on the Bottles…
For my birthday I was given a wonderful gift pack filled with all of the things I love: lip gloss, foot scrub, and hand lotions. All of the products come from the “Philosophy” line. I have used their products many a time, and love the wonderful scents, and the well made lotions. I knew each one had it own “philosophical message” printed on the outside, but to be honest, never really took the time to read them…until this morning. And, man, I have to say, those words struck a cord within me, and made me think throughout the day. It wasn’t that the words or ideas were anything new and exciting, but just real and honest. It reminded me of the importance of the small things in life, and the realization of all that I take for granted sometimes.
I figure if it hit me so much…it might reach other people too…so why not take advantage of my new blog, and enlighted my readers some too. So here you go, here is what Philosophy I was touched by recently:
- be grateful to have been given one more day, let alone one more year. remember to dance in your nightgown, sing in the shower, ride a bike, fly a kite, and take an occasional “windbath” in your bare skin. give those you love big kisses, huge hugs, and the words “i love you” often and always. nurture your body rather than starve your soul with fad dieting. watch the movie “life is beautiful” at least once a year. remember that you are not guaranteed tomorrow and that today is as good as it gets. thank god for every “thing”, every “day”, every moment.
- let’s review your only true assets. you own your values, your integrity, your thoughts, your words, your actions and therefore, your destiny. question: are you proud of what you own? what is your true net worth to the world and the people around you? are you really rich or do you jsut have money?
- the road to intimacy is lots of kissing
Good, huh? Now I need to go shower and enjoy all of my products: body gel, face cleanser, food lotion, and hand scrub…how decident!
Entering the world of “Blogging”
So, I have many a friend that “Blog,” and I have to admit, I am SO out of the loop when it comes to Blogging…I know how to read them, but that is about it. SO, I am going to step into the 21st century, and create out own Blog. Brian and I leave on July 6th for our East Coast Adventure. We will be going to Boston, New York, and Washington DC. We are very excited, but wanted a way to let everyone know what we were up to while we were gone…again the idea of “Blogging” came to mind…so here I am, creating a Blog for our trip…but knowing me, I will get addicted. So, stay tuned…
